Two funny things

Last week one of my very coolest customers asked if our Nicaraguan “Building New Hope” coffee was from New Hope, Pennsylvania!  We all cracked up, and then quickly commented that any coffee grown in Pennsylvania would be EXTRA shade grown.  http://www.buildingnewhope.org/coffee.html

Next, a lady asked how many pumps of cappuccino go into her cappuccino….. the only two ingredients in a cappuccino are espresso and milk. No pumps involved!

Kristo and I made a really cool batch of homemade syrup to be added to drinks tomorrow and maybe even throughout the week. You’ll have to come in and give it a try. It’s safe to say that you’ll love it. After the batch of syrup was completed we hurried down the shop to whip up a round of drinks to try it out. We think we prefer the syrup added to an iced latte; our taste buds picked up a little bit more zip in the iced drink compared to the hot version. This syrup is perfect for summer, subtle and refreshing.

See you tomorrow @ 6 a.m.

ps- I am going to have a really nice German bread tomorrow that is so richly colored it is nearly black. It is hearty, whole-grain, and will likely become the home to some turkey breast, cheddar, and a nice mustard.
